Roman Gladiators 

On Wednesday the Year 5 children did some research on the Roman Gladiators. We watched a horrifying video of one their games, It was about how they played the game and what happened. Here are some of the things we learnt. In the practice duel, the fighters will use wooden weapons then they will use real swords.The gladiators have a trainer and he\she will cheer you on for the whole game. If one of the fighters could not carry on they will raise their left arm & point their index finger to the sky.Then the spectators shall use sign language to vote between life and death. Sometimes the gladiators will beg for mercy. By Chanel
