Amazing global collaboration and story telling!

We used the Story Mountain as a model to our tale. It helps students to brainstorm ideas about characters, setting and key vocabulary. 

As part of our 4 learner attributes we aim to develop connectedness. Travelling tales is a great way for us to connect with our peers and also with students globally.

Kevin's Visit to Worser Bay

Waterslide Chaos: Travelling Tales

This is our first Travelling Tale of the year. This Travelling Tale was created by 5 schools around the world. It started in the USA then it was passed onto a class in the Netherlands then Canada, Ethiopia and finally to us here in New Zealand. Thank you to all of the students who helped to create this.

Lunches in Schools Around the World

After watching the Jamie Oliver clips about Nutrition we wanted to find out a little bit more about what students in other schools eat for lunch. We got some responses from schools in New Zealand, Singapore, Australia, USA and Luxembourg.

Mitchell the Mischievous Monkey: Travelling Tale

We have been involved in this travelling tale called "Mitchell the mischievous monkey". 

Travelling Tales is a club designed to connect children to other schools so they can collaborate to create short stories to share with the world." This tale has been to schools in New Zealand, Vietnam, Poland and United States of America.

Nicola's base group came up with the title and the beginning of the story.
