Welcome! On Friday we learnt how to snorkel and it was so cool. This was run by Hannah and Joe from
Mountains to Sea Wellington. The programme is called 'Experiencing Marine Reserves. We learnt how to do lots of cool stuff. First of all, we needed to put on our gear on. We had to find the right size of flippers but you can not walk in them because you will fall onto the ground. Next we had to get our snorkel but you have to figure out what size you are then you will get some toothpaste drops in your goggles then you need to rub the toothpaste. Then you had to clean all the toothpaste out of your goggles. We put toothpaste in because it makes your goggles not get fogged up.
Then we get ready to go in the pool to learn how to snorkel.
We learnt how to duck dive, duck diving is when you go underwater and you would like to touch the bottom of the pool. We also learnt how to do some hand signals like ok, something wrong and HELP! When we started we starter off holding onto a boogie board then we ditched the boogie board and held hands.
