Matariki
Mahutonga and Matariki have been learning about Matariki they have made posters. here are some fun facts that they have found out.
Matariki is a Maori celebration. The best time to see matariki and puanga is half an hour before dawn. After three days the Matariki celebration ends in the early morning. The seven stars only have six names the seventh star doesn’t have a name. The brighter the stars, the warmer the season will be. There is a myth which explains how the seven stars got to be there.
Our name is Matariki and Mahutonga. We are a blogging group from Worser Bay School in Wellington, New Zealand.
