What's in your view?

We have a few more additions to our presentation, it certainly is travelling the world...




1. What school do you go to? Te Kura Maori o Nga Tapuwae in Mangere, South Auckland, New Zealand.

2. What is something special about your school?                                                                              

We do all our learning in Te Reo Maori! We are a special character school.


3. What is something you have enjoyed learning?
Kapa Haka. We also enjoy our new differentiated learning matrix and individual learning plans.

4. What do you most like about living where you live? We love that we live in a state that is shaped like a mitten and is surrounded by lakes.

6. Is there anything you would like to share about your learning, your class or your school? We are an Iwi school. That means we support the iwi of our area and the children of the iwi are the first priority on our waiting list.

2. What is something special about your school?
We have a huge soccer field that is used for physical education and sporting events, hiking trails, good playgrounds, and even a playground on the rooftop!

3. What is something you have enjoyed learning?
We have enjoyed learning about physical fitness, volume in math using Minecraft, pendulums in science, and band

4. What do you most like about living where you live?
Convenience stores that are by our houses, the food like kimchi, the tallest building in Korea is close to our homes, views from apartments, playgrounds and that there are few natural disasters

5. Is there anything else you'd like to share about yourselves, your culture or your community?
(1) Food culture, we have a choice with western or Korean.
(2) We have different lunch rotations every week.(Blue area, roof top, field, and gym)
(3) We have different house teams.(fire, earth, water, wind)
(4) We are mostly Asian.

6. Is there anything you would like to share about your learning, your class or your school?
(1) We use Minecraft to learn during math block.
(2) We use a lot of technology.
(3) We have after school programs/clubs.
(4) In 5th grade, we do science and social studies rotations.

What is something special about your school?
We have a wall dedicated to Street Art that represents our different nationalities and our community.
Our core values are Caring, Co-operating and
Communicating.
We have the biggest heated school pool on the West Coast.

What is something that you have enjoyed learning?

In Maths we made Paper Planes and  have learn’t about statistics, measurements, distance, and wingspan.
Penguins- Our senior school is working alongside D.O.C (Department of Conservation), West Coast Penguin Trust and our Mayor to help find safe habitats that help protect the penguins from predators and to encourage them back to Cobden

Our school is on a hill overlooking the beautiful city of Seoul. We are Kindergarten class KS.

South Korea is a very safe and well organized place with four seasons.

Our school has about 1500 students from nursery to Grade 12.
The school started more than 100 years ago.

We have been learning about other countries and about famous heroes from history.
We learned about Abraham Lincoln, Martin Luther King Jr. and Mahatma Gandhi.
