Chinese New Year

January 28th was Chinese New Year. It is the year of the Rooster. The Jade Emperor got the animals to have a race. The rat came first and the pig came last. So the year of the rat is the first day in the 12 year cycle. 

We have been thinking about the Chinese dragon. We thought about the attributes of the dragon. We think that the dragon is kind, welcoming, brave, has a big heart and looks after people, strong, powerful and resilient.

We are very excited about making our own dragons.
