In Jenny's Inquiry Group we are looking at how we can have a positive effect on our communities.
We've been discussing ideas of connecting with our community and how we can be creators of change. We were lucky enough to have Bobby from Reusabowl come and talk us on Friday.
Reusabowl is a social enterprise hoping to launch here in Wellington. They offer a plastic free alternative for takeaways with their use and return bowl (made from bioplastic) circular system.
Bobby spoke to the kids about what he did and how he and his friends got started on their project, with two key takeaway messages:
1. Every little bit we do helps.
2. We have to work together to affect change.
He even gave away a bowl prototype to the student who could remember those two key messages.
After his visit, we felt inspired to pursue our own projects - which we are excited to share!
