Today Year 5 and 6s went into town to have Orange Day Parade. Orange Day Parade is to celebrate Road Patrollers in Wellington and to help raise awareness of keeping safe while getting to school.
We went on the bus into town and then we went to parliament, lining up waiting for the shenanigans to begin.
We marched down Lambton Quay holding our banner and singing out chant.
"Check the street, before you move your feet!"
We then arrived at Micheal Fowler Centre where we had to prove we sounded orange, looked orange and acted orange!! We didn't win any prizes but had a great day anyway. Thanks to everyone who helps us to do Road Patrol. It is really important we all get to school safely.
